Spicy Cajun Chicken Alfredo
Creamy, cheesy, and with just the right amount of kick — this pasta is everything comfort food should be. Perfect for weeknights when you want BIG flavor without a ton of fuss.
- 2 large chicken breasts thinly sliced
- 4 tbsp Dan-O's Cajun seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 small onion finely diced
- 1 red bell pepper sliced
- 1 green bell pepper sliced
- 2 cup heavy cream
- 2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 12 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes optional, for extra heat
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
Make the sauce base
In the same skillet, add garlic, onion, and peppers. Sauté 3–4 minutes until softened.
Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir and let it simmer for 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
Add the cheese
Lower heat to medium. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce becomes creamy.
Taste and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and more Cajun spice or red pepper flakes if you want it spicier.
Combine
Add cooked pasta and chicken back into the skillet. Toss until coated.
If sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water.
